Here we seek to develop a common, relatively seamless, interface to distributed nano-scale science resources across the state of Missouri. This we hope will include forging agreements for as-available access to unique resources which are not part of core-outreach facilities, as well as to labs whose explicit mandate is to serve the region. It will also involve protocols for lab hand-offs, so that specimens e.g. coming into a facility in Columbia can chart their own course through facilities across the state if indeed access to techniques not available at any one location is required.
Until this interface is developed, you can find web information on many of these labs via links from our Inventory construction. In general on those pages, commercial facilities serving the region (and beyond) with an appropriate capability are noted with an asterisk (*), while university/institute core-outreach facilities (with a mandate e.g. to minimize turn-around-time on external requests) are noted with a pair of asterisks (**).
