Four-player chess in Atmosphere

This is an experiment in web-based gaming, as well as in putting the word out about an interesting variation on chess. Here's what the board looks like from a distance in the standalone browser...

...and here's what it looks like up close...

If you have atmosphere v91 or later, jump to this web page or load "http://newton.umsl.edu/~run/4plchess/4plches2.aer" into the standalone (this has worked for me on multiple systems), or try it with the plugin. Caution: Before running around or clicking on stuff, wait for until the pieces are colorized and the message (perhaps 50 sec on a 1.7GHz 512kB w2k system) that says the physics is done. Otherwise it may never happen! In fact, with the plugin it sometimes seems to never happen regardless. I'm thinking that this may go faster if the javascript is cleverer about managing multiple instances of the same piece. Suggestions invited.
